# Major Business Divisions

Ammetra's products are built and run by three major business divisions. Each one works like a company within the company, with its own leadership, staff, engineering pods, and budget. All three follow the same company-wide policies, architecture standards, and security protocols.

## Our Divisions

| **Enterprise Software / Core SaaS Division** | Foundational and core | The flagship, legacy, and primary software products that generate most of the company's revenue |
| **Cloud Services & Platform Division** | Platform and infrastructure | The backend architecture, APIs, data centers, and global hosting that keep our products running |
| ↳ **Agile Incubation Team** | Rapid, specialized execution | A fast-moving "skunkworks" team inside the Platform Division for rapid prototyping, minimum viable products (MVPs), and experimental features |
| **Emerging Technologies / AI & ML Division** | Cutting-edge and future-focused | Forward-looking R&D that brings generative AI, advanced analytics, and next-generation capabilities into our software |

## Enterprise Software / Core SaaS Division

The Core SaaS Division owns the products most of our customers use every day.

- Builds, maintains, and improves the flagship SaaS products.
- Supports long-standing and legacy products while they remain in service.
- Works closely with the business units on customer needs and product adoption.

## Cloud Services & Platform Division

The Platform Division owns the foundation everything else runs on.

- Designs and runs the backend architecture and internal APIs every division uses.
- Operates our data centers and global hosting.
- Keeps the core products running reliably at scale.

### The Agile Incubation Team

The Agile Incubation Team is a small, highly specialized unit within the Platform Division. It moves fast to:

- Build prototypes and test new ideas quickly.
- Turn promising ideas into minimum viable products (MVPs).
- Ship experimental features to learn what works.

Because it moves fast, its funding is reviewed closely in each Quarterly Business Review. The team's head also sits on the Executive Steering Committee.

## Emerging Technologies / AI & ML Division

The Emerging Technologies Division focuses on where our products are going next.

- Brings generative AI and machine learning into our software.
- Develops advanced analytics capabilities.
- Turns forward-looking research into features customers can use.

*The Advanced R&D / Innovation Labs shared service pursues long-term "moonshot" research, such as quantum computing. The Emerging Technologies Division puts new technology into our products.*

## What Divisions Are Responsible For

Each division is responsible for **building and maintaining capability**:

- **Hiring and developing** its engineers, designers, and product managers.
- **Building and shipping** its products and services.
- **Equipping** its teams with the tools, environments, and infrastructure they need.
- **Keeping its products reliable and secure** so they are always ready for customers.

The Regional Business Units and Specialized Global Divisions then take these products to market.

## How a Division Is Structured

## Working Across Divisions

Many products depend on more than one division. To keep everything working together:

- Every division uses the same internal APIs, security protocols, and shared infrastructure.
- Major new products and architecture changes are approved by the Executive Product & Architecture Council, which checks that no two divisions are building the same thing.
