# Welcome to Human Resources

Welcome to the Human Resources section of Ammetra's documentation. Human Resources at Ammetra is run by **People Operations (Central HR)**. Whether you joined last week or have been with us for years, this page is your starting point for anything related to your employment, pay, benefits, growth, and workplace conduct.

People Operations is part of Ammetra's [Administrative & Employee Services](https://docs.ammetra.com/docs/administrative-employee-services/) and is led by the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). We look after recruiting, compensation leveling, benefits administration, performance reviews, and employee relations, and we work closely with the other teams that support you, such as Learning & Development and Employee Benefits & Wellness.

> **Note:** Names, phone extensions, and figures marked with placeholders (for example, *\[Name\]* or *ext. XXXX*) should be updated to reflect your local office.

## Core Policies at a Glance

The summaries below give you the essentials. Full policy documents are available in the HR Help Portal and take precedence over these summaries.

### Code of Conduct

All employees are expected to act with integrity, treat colleagues and customers with respect, protect company information, and comply with applicable laws. Conflicts of interest, gifts above nominal value, and outside employment must be disclosed to your manager and People Operations.

### Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination

Ammetra makes employment decisions based on merit, qualifications, and business needs. We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, colour, religion, sex, nationality, age, disability, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

### Anti-Harassment and Respectful Workplace

Harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical, visual, sexual, or online, is prohibited. Anyone who experiences or witnesses harassment should report it to their manager, People Operations, or the confidential ethics hotline. Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith is strictly forbidden.

### Working Hours and Attendance

- Standard working hours are set out in your employment contract.
- Let your manager know as early as possible if you will be late or absent.
- Flexible or hybrid arrangements may be available depending on your role and require manager approval.
- On-call and overtime arrangements for engineering teams follow your division's on-call policy.

### Leave and Time Off

| Leave type | Summary |
| --- | --- |
| Annual leave | Accrued per your contract; request through the HR portal with manager approval |
| Sick leave | Notify your manager on the first day; a medical certificate may be required |
| Public holidays | Observed according to the official local calendar |
| Parental leave | Maternity, paternity, and adoption leave per company policy and local law |
| Bereavement leave | Paid time off following the loss of an immediate family member |
| Extended or special leave | Considered case by case; contact your People Partner or Alumni Relations & Critical Incident Retention |

### Pay and Compensation

Salaries are paid monthly on the date stated in your contract, through Corporate Finance & Payroll. Payslips are available through the HR portal. Report any discrepancies to Payroll within 30 days, and keep your bank and personal details up to date to avoid payment delays. Your job level and pay band are set through the company's compensation leveling framework.

### Benefits

Eligible employees may receive benefits such as health insurance, ergonomic equipment, mental health support, and access to an employee assistance program. Eligibility and coverage depend on your contract and location; contact Employee Benefits & Wellness for details.

### Performance and Development

- Goals are set with your manager at the start of each review cycle and linked to company OKRs.
- Formal performance reviews take place annually, with a mid-year check-in.
- Every employee is encouraged to keep a personal development plan.
- Bootcamps, courses, and tuition assistance are available through Learning & Development.

### Information Security and Confidentiality

Protect company, customer, and employee data at all times. Never share passwords, never commit credentials to code, use only approved tools and devices, and report suspected security incidents to the Chief Information Security Office immediately at security@ammetra.com. Personal employee information held by People Operations is confidential and accessed only on a need-to-know basis.

### Health and Safety

Follow all workplace safety procedures, report hazards, injuries, and near misses promptly to Headquarters Workplace Operations & Facilities, and know the location of emergency exits and first-aid points in your office.

### Grievances and Raising Concerns

1. Where appropriate, try to resolve the issue informally with the person involved or your manager.
2. If that isn't possible, contact your People Partner or Employee Relations.
3. Submit a formal written grievance if the matter remains unresolved.
4. People Operations will acknowledge it, investigate fairly and confidentially, and tell you the outcome.

For concerns about fraud, data theft, or misconduct by senior leaders, you can also go directly to [Compliance, Internal Audit & Investigations](https://docs.ammetra.com/docs/compliance-internal-audit/).

### Leaving the Company

Resignations should be submitted in writing to your manager and People Operations in line with your contractual notice period.
